Privacy Policy
What we collect when you ask for a quote or book a visit, and what we do with it.

01Who we are
Alta Lights is a division of Alta Home Services LLC, a Utah company that installs traditional holiday lighting and Bosso permanent architectural lighting on homes and businesses along the Wasatch Front. This policy explains what we collect through alta-lights.com and our text-message program, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
02Information you give us
You can browse the site without telling us anything. We collect information only when you choose to send it to us.
- Quote and estimate requests: your name, email, phone number, property address, home details such as roofline footage and the sections you want lit, and any notes you add.
- Site-visit bookings: your name, email, phone number, property address, and the appointment time you choose.
- Referral, block, and installer applications: the contact details and answers you provide on those forms.
- Chat: messages you type into the on-site assistant so it can answer your question and, if you ask, hand you to a quote or booking.
- Payments: when you pay a deposit, balance, or renewal, your card or bank details go directly to Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
03Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request, which we use to keep the site running and secure. We do not run third-party advertising trackers or analytics pixels on alta-lights.com.
04Property imagery
When you request an instant estimate or lighting preview, we look up your address with Google Maps and Street View to measure your roofline and render a preview of how lighting could look on your home. The rendered preview is generated for you and attached to your quote. We do not sell or publish imagery of your home without your written permission.
05How we use your information
- To prepare and send your estimate or written quote.
- To schedule, confirm, and remind you about site visits and installations.
- To bill deposits, balances, and annual renewals, and to send receipts.
- To answer your questions and follow up on open quotes.
- To plan installer routes and material orders for scheduled jobs.
- To meet our legal, tax, and warranty obligations.
06Text messages
If you check the SMS consent box on one of our forms, you agree to receive text messages from Alta Lights regarding your quote, scheduling updates, and account information. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. We do not share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.
07Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers who help us run the business, and only what each one needs.
- Stripe processes payments and invoices.
- Twilio delivers our text messages, and Resend delivers our email.
- Google provides address lookup, Street View imagery, and the calendar that holds your site-visit appointment.
- Supabase and Vercel host our database and website.
- Anthropic and Google power the on-site assistant and lighting previews. What you submit is processed to produce a response and is not used to train their models under our agreements.
- Our installers see the job address, scheduled time, and the work to be done. They never see your payment details.
- We may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect our rights, our customers, or our crew.
08How long we keep it
Quote and customer records are kept for as long as you are a customer or a prospect, and for the period afterwards that Utah law and our warranty terms require, typically seven years for financial records. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will unless a legal or contractual obligation requires us to keep it.
09Your choices
- Ask us what information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing the address below.
- Opt out of texts by replying STOP, and out of email follow-ups by using the unsubscribe link or telling us directly.
- Decline the SMS consent box on any form. We will still process your quote or booking.
10Security
All traffic to alta-lights.com is encrypted in transit. Customer records live in an access-controlled database, pricing is hidden from installer accounts by design, and payment details never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe your information has been exposed, contact us immediately.
11Children
Our services are for homeowners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
12Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
